This year SC FBLA has adopted a new theme, "Ignite your inner Super Hero". What is a Super Hero? Webster defines a super hero as "a mythological or legendary figure often of divine decent endowed with great strength or ability". My definition of a super hero is an advanced individual with unnatural abilities, capable of doing good works. I believe this is why SC FBLA as adopted this theme, we believe that being a part of this organization all members can portray these characteristics in their local chapters and state wide chapters. As an FBLA member we are called to do great works in our community such as, raising money for March of Dimes, promoting awareness to active and inactive FBLA chapters, and setting a precedence for future members to come.
SC FBLA has various exciting events in store for the year 2015-2016 calendar year. We are currently partnering with the National team for our NFLC which will be held in North Charleston SC, November 13 -14, 2015. We are asking all SC FBLA chapters to be in attendance, for more information check our state website. There are many exciting events in the different regions in SC, Region Vice Presidents, and other officers will be contacting various schools about these different events. Our State President is encouraging members that are interested in being on the National State Presidents Council to apply, applications will be posted on the State website soon, so be on the look out. We encourage all chapters to increase their membership and to promote FBLA to inactive and active chapters. As SC FBLA adopts this theme for this year, we hope that members will display these heroic characteristics in their schools and promote FBLA's mission too others.
